If you found out that you were dying who is the first person you would call?
What's the next thing you would do?
And finally, which one on your list of things to do would you save for last?

As a kid, I loved gazing at the clouds and mentally cutting them into the shapes of my imagination. Growing up, I realised that writing came closest to capturing the images from my mind's eye. These are the shapes I've cut my life into. These are my clouds.

Ah, fatal illness or imminent death, such as in an inevitable plane crash? In short, how long have I got, doctor?
Not plane crash, more like an illness where you know you have this much time left and so on...
Right. Well, in that case I'd tell my husband first. Then I'd call my children together and we'd tell them.
I'm assuming this is an illness when I'm pretty well until near death. So I'd go and visit people and get in touch with those I'm fond of, because when someone dies you always feel guilty if you've been meaning to see them and haven't.
Right at the end before I got too ill, I'd get stoned. I never have been, you see. I'd get right out of my head and hopelessly giggly, with any luck. And after that, I'd write a final, cheerful, blog post.
Then, I think I'd like to be alone for a bit.
